Mary Helfrich, 94, of Yardville, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 2024, at her residence in Yardville.
Born in Trenton, she resided there before settling down in Yardville 29 years ago. Mrs. Helfrich worked as a Director Secretary for the State of New Jersey for 30 years. In her free time, Mrs. Helfrich loved to cross stitch and knit.
Predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Mary (Tazza) Smeraldi; her husband, Francis S. Helfrich; brother, Thomas R. Smeraldi Sr. and her son in law, Paul McCarty Sr. She is survived by her two daughters, Frances McCarty and Theresa Helfrich; her grandson, Paul McCarty Jr. and his wife, Diana; her four great grandchildren, Kristen, Joey, Cecilia and Owen; and her great-great grandson, Beckham
Funeral services will begin on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.
Entombment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park Mausoleum in Robbinsville.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org.
