She was born in Martel, TN, on June 8, 1937, to Bert Ray and Ella Russell.
Mary attended Karns High School in Knoxville, TN.
After graduating from high school, she worked in the transportation industry and later retired from the Better Business Bureau.
She was a long-time member of the Northwest Church of God. Mary was a faithful prayer warrior who carried the burdens of others to God daily. She touched countless lives with her steadfast faith and the love that filled her heart.
Mary was an avid reader who enjoyed Bible Study. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Bert and Ella Ray; Brother, Claude Ray; Sisters, Willie Shelton and Ida Dyer.
She is survived by her Children, Terry Huskey (Janis), Juda Huskey, Jada Huskey, and Tammy Torbett (John); Grandchildren, Erica, Scott, Colby, Chris, Keli, and Becky; and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family would like to say a special thank you to her devoted prayer warriors, Frankie, Wanda, Nelda, Peggy, and Evelyn.
The visitation will take place from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Northwest Church of God (5320 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Knoxville, TN 37912) with a funeral service following at 6:00 pm. Pastor Seth London will officiate the service.
Family and friends will meet for an 11:00 am graveside service on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Piney Grove Church Cemetery (2109 Piney Grove Church Rd, Knoxville, TN 37909).
