Mary Jane Jarrell, of Rock Creek, WV, 68, passed away in her home on December 12, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mary was born in Bald Knob, WV on August 22, 1957, to the late Carlos Byrd Price and Seretta “Arlene” Coleman Price. She graduated from Marsh Fork High School in Montcoal, WV.

Mary was known for her strong work ethic. She often spent her time doing yard work at home or at “the Farm,” a special retreat she and her husband, Lloyd, cherished. Mary had a deep love for sports and the outdoors, passions she and Lloyd enjoyed together. Weekends at home often included watching a game on television and taking care of their beloved cat, Jasper. Mary loved the beach and travel, and she and Lloyd shared many memorable trips over the years. Among her most treasured experiences were the annual fishing trips to Canada, which the couple enjoyed for many years. Mary found peace and joy at their Jackson County property, “the Farm,” where she could escape the busyness of life and embrace nature and simple living.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Randall Price and Dennis Clark Price. She is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd Jarrell; sons, Steven Bruce Jarrell (Katie) of Rock Creek, WV, and Adam Brent Jarrell (Sarah) of Sundial, WV; stepdaughters, Kathi Belk (Cliff) of Midland, NC, and Kristi Phillips (Anthony) of Daniels, WV; three granddaughters, Destinee, Serenity, and Mia; two grandsons, Noah and Bryson; seven step-grandchildren; and thirteen step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Carlos “Paul” Price (Brenda) of Beckley, WV, and her sister, Julie Price Brooks of Tennessee.

Services to honor Mary will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Rebecca Chapel, 5768 Coal River Road, Rock Creek, WV with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating. Visitation with the family will be at 2:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm.
