Our Mom lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She was a stay-at-home Mom during our younger years. She served as the PTA President at Windsor Elementary School, a Cub Scout Den Mother and was an exceptional room mother for each of us. She entered the workforce at The Ohio State University Hospital as a Lab Technician. During this time, she was also a seasonal employee with Lazarus Department Store as a jewelry sales associate. Upon her retirement from OSU Hospital, she opened a floral shop where she enjoyed creating unique floral and ceremonial decor that eventually led to her becoming a wedding coordinator. Later in life, she began her second career with Columbus City Schools as a bus driver for children with special needs; which she enjoyed until her retirement.

Mom could spend hours thrift shopping; she enjoyed puzzles, bowling, playing cards, and a good game of chess; especially against her brother Lawrence. She also had a passion for interior decorating, renewing old furniture and hosting gatherings for family and friends. During the Halloween and Christmas holidays, Mom was recognized for having the best decorated house on Hamilton Avenue. She was also known for her themed Christmas trees for every room in her home and we believe she invented the “25 Days of Christmas”.
