Mary Kinworthy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coker-Mathews Funeral Home on Jan. 4, 2024.
Mary Ida Kinworthy, age 83 of Gallatin, Tennessee and formerly of Campbell, Texas, passed away December 30, 2023. Mary was born on January 18, 1940, in Greenville, Texas to the late Carl D. Roddy and the late Ina Mae Willaby Roddy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jackie ''Jack'' Lee Kinworthy; son, Randy Kinworthy; and brothers, Marion Roddy and Phillip Roddy.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie Kinworthy (Karie), Rhonda Blankenship (Eric), and Shanna Gluck; grandchildren, Brennan Wallace (Staci), Kelli Propst (Ryan), Chris Kinworthy (Katie), Mindy Plunkett (Joey), Dallas Blankenship, Brittney Hays (Dallas), Cassie Higginbotham (David), and Blaine Sanders (Sullivan); and several great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her sister, Sue Blunt (Allen) and several nieces and nephews.
Mary will be remembered for always having a smile on her face; she loved Jesus, her husband, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She worked for many years for Rubbermaid and enjoyed what she did, but her biggest joy in life was truly her grandchildren. Mary enjoyed sunflowers, being outside, going to church, shopping at Goodwill, and like any true Texan, she also loved Whataburger and George Strait. She enjoyed cooking and baking; her specialties being her famous fried chicken and Italian Cream Cake. Mary loved her family and was loved by them more than words can explain, they will miss her dearly.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas. Burial will follow in Brigham Cemetery in Campbell, Texas with Dallas Blankenship, Chris Kinworthy, Brian Blunt, Eric Blunt, Dallas Hays, and David Higginbotham serving as active pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
