Mary Ann "Kelly" Logan went to heaven on the wings of angels on January 3rd, 2025.
Born December 19th, 1935, in St. Paul MN, she was the daughter of two Irish immigrants Sarah and Stephen Kelly, and oldest of nine siblings. Kelly received her degree in nursing at Anker school of nursing in 1956 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and subsequently completed her BSN at the College of St. Francis. Kelly gravitated to ER nursing where she found her passion and spiritual vocation. There she deeply and positively affected patients from all walks of life. In addition to being a great healer, she was also an outstanding mentor, teaching medical students, nursing students, residents, and paramedics.
After 38 rich years with the Emergency Room, she began her second career at the Ramsey County Detention Center, where she practiced for another 22 years.
Her intellectual rigor, radiance of joy, and demeanor with people earned her the greatest respect from all her colleagues.
She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Logan, parents Stephen and Sarah Kelly, brothers Stephen "Bud" Kelly, Pat Kelly, Robert Kelly, Mike Kelly, and sister Margaret "Noonie" Trowbridge, and special lifelong friend and colleague, Lucy Zimmerman.
She is survived by her five children Judi Logan Winegar (Terry), John Logan, James Logan, Dr. Jacqueline Logan, and Joseph Logan; beloved grandsons Matthew logan, Jake Winegar (Kaley), and Luke Winegar, and great grandson Theo Logan; siblings Kay Vilks (Andy), John Kelly (Jill), and Joe Kelly.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends, Her life was enriched by many people, including colleague and loyal friend Linda Evans, and devoted niece Kristal Hawkins, The family would also like to recognize the magnificent staff at Marvella Assisted Living, who went above and beyond by not just caring for her, but loving her immensely the final 18 months of her life.
Celebration of life will be held in the spring.

My sincere condolences to the Logan family. Mom and Kelly were both nursing grads of Anker School of Nursing and worked together at Anker/St. Paul Ramsey Hospital ER. We enjoyed the times our families were together. Kelly leaves many heartwarming memories with the people she loved and befriended. The memories and/or mention of her name will always bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart. My love to all of you.

Kelly had the widest, most welcoming smile. She was always so great to those of us lucky enough to be Judy´s friend and I will miss her. Rest with the angels, sweet Kelly.

Aunt Mary was the matriarch for our whole family and everyone's in-laws and extended family as well. Every single memory I have is us laughing.

She was the most positive person I know and the most supportive.
Unconditional love doesn't even begin to cover it. I will do what it takes to continue making her proud.

Mary - hope you're have a grand old time with the rest of our "team" up there. Keep laughing and we'll see you on the other side.
In the meantime, I'll look for you in the hummingbirds.

Love you forever, Mickey

"Kelly" was the "rock" in the ER at SPRH during the 60's and 70's that gave it order.
