Mary graduated from the University of Michigan and went on to work as a social worker for Angela Hospice. She was an avid grief counselor and attended church each day.
Devoted wife of John for 64 years; loving mother of Michael (Suzanne) Macdonald, Timothy (Heidi) Macdonald, and the late Patrick Macdonald; proud grandmother of Madeline (Gary, Jr.) Decan, Mallory Macdonald, Rue (Love) MaCall, Molly Macdonald, and Malcolm Macdonald; cherished great grandmother of Gary Decan III; dear sister of John (Cheryl) Hause, and Thomas (Christine) Hause.
Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Brighton, MI 48116, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A vigil service will take place at 6:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 2201 S Old US Hwy 23, Brighton, MI 48114, on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Friends and family may gather at the church beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's honor to the Capuchins appreciated.
