Born on November 15, 1961 and passed away on August 22, 2025.
Mary Anne (Davis) Macek passed away peacefully after a brave battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Brian; her sons Matthew (Stephanie) and Jonathan, and her grandson Braxton; her brothers Kenneth (Kelly) and Thomas; her brothers-in-law Michael (Ronnie) Macek and Robert Macek; her sister Linda (Jim) Kaza; her sister-in-law Linda (Tim) Donovan; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael, her late sister Ann Marie, and her brother-in-law Bernard (Diane) Macek.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 1:00–6:00 p.m. at Step Funeral Home in Redford, Michigan, with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at One Under in Livonia from 5:00–9:00 p.m.
For more than 20 years, Mary Anne dedicated her time and heart to working as a teacher's aide, where she touched the lives of countless children and families. She had a deep love for the Detroit Tigers, enjoyed attending craft shows, and treasured family vacations. Above all, Mary Anne's greatest joy came from the love she shared with her family.
Mary Anne will be remembered for her kindness, devotion, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Mary Ann was an incredible woman. Her devotion to her students was incredible. Thanks for the smiles and the laughs my dear friend. Rest in peace knowing you made such a difference in all our lives

I am so sorry to hear of Mary Anne's passing. No more suffering. I met Mary Anne way back in the day when we hung out in Redford. I met her through her cousins Cathy and Bill Lloyd. She was always so sweet, kind and always had the biggest smile. Please pray for her family and cherish all of your beautiful memories. May you rest in peace
