East Palestine - Joan S. Macek, age 88, passed away early Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Christian House in East Palestine.
Joan was born on June 10, 1937, in Salem, OH, daughter of the late Lloyd and Mildred Wilhelm Candel.
Joan had worked as a salesperson associate for Walmart for several years.
Joan is survived by her son, Mark Macek of East Palestine; two sisters, Janet Meek of Odessa, TX and Jean Mercure of Columbiana.
She was preceded in death by her son, Page Lee Macek.
No services are being held.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
