Mary Anne Mader, 73, of Troy, more recently of Webster Groves, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born September 14, 1951 in Troy to the late Thomas and Naomi (Campion) Shanesy.
Survivors include three children, David (Stephanie Buchert) Mader, Steven (Heather) Mader, Stephanie Gross all of Troy; five grandchildren, Skylar, Sienna, Derek, Alyssa, Jenna; her longtime partner, Bruce Hall of Webster Groves, Missouri; and five siblings, Jane Karns of Troy, Linda Brewer of Troy, John Shanesy of Charlottesville, Virginia, Tim Shanesy of Troy, and Tom Shanesy of Troy.
Mary was a 1970 graduate of Troy High School. She was a past member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting; as well as cooking and baking. She loved nature and was an animal lover. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
A service to honor her life will be announced in the coming days. Services will be held at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to The Troy Foundation 216 W. Franklin St. Troy, OH 45373.
