Mary S. (Burchell) McGowan, 82, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Westford House, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Waterford, Cape Britain, Canada, on November 22, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Cameron and Barbara (Clark) Burchell. Raised in Dorchester, MA, Mary graduated from Dorchester High School. She enjoyed the sport of bowling and was on several teams. She loved country line dancing, playing the slots at Encore, going to outdoor concerts in Boston, and listening to music whether it was Elvis Presley or country, or the oldies from the 50s and 60s, and playing Bingo. As long as she was spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends, Mary was happy. She retired from Honda Cars of Boston, which gave her more time with family and friends. Mary leaves her children, Barbara Guiendon and her husband Raymond of North Carolina, Sheila Titus and her fianc Kevin Mahoney of Dracut, and Cameron McGowan and his wife Stephanie of Salem, NH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samantha McGowan and Damon McGowan of Texas, and Jaymi Guiendon of North Carolina, Keith Titus and Andrew Titus of Dracut, and Aiden McGowan of Salem, NH; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews. Marys siblings also survive her including Janet Engstrom and her husband Lee of Wisconsin, Norma Stewart and her late husband Joe of Quincy, William Burchell and his wife Patricia of Nahant, and the late Cameron Garnet Burchell of Leominster. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 12 pm to 3 pm at Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Her funeral services and interment will be held privately.
