Mary J. Moriarty (Kehoe), affectionately known as Rae, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born in Boston on December 16, 1939, Rae was the daughter of the late Andrew P. Kehoe and Eleanor (Skeffington). She grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School with the class of 1958. After marrying her husband, the late James D. Moriarty, they settled in Weymouth where she dedicated herself to raising their family. Once her children were older, Rae began working as a customer service representative, where she enjoyed helping others and building lasting connections.

Rae had a true passion for cooking and was happiest when hosting Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings for family and friends. She cherished the time spent around her table, sharing good food, laughter, and love. Rae also valued her lifelong friendships and made it a priority to stay connected throughout the years.

She is survived by her loving children: Laura Hoyle and her husband Randy of Weymouth, James Moriarty Jr. and his wife Angela of Florida, Jean Majenski of Marshfield, and Michelle Mulligan and her husband Donald of Whitman. Rae was a devoted grandmother to Timothy, Joseph, James, Allison, Kathryn, William, and Andrea, and a proud great-grandmother to Aiden and Cole. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, James, and her brother, Michael Kehoe.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. Weymouth, MA 02190, on Saturday, September 20th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA will be held privately at a later date.
