Affectionately known as "Ella Mae," she was born in Bamberg, SC, on November 22, 1940, to the late Emmanuel and Virgie Martin.
Ella Mae retired from Colonial Manor Nursing Home as a Dietary Aide. What she loved and adored most was her family. In addition to being a phenomenal cook, she delighted in going to church and praising God while listening to her favorite gospel songs. Her family and her faith were the pillars of her world.
In addition to her loving husband Roy, she leaves to mourn her loss but cherish her memory her four sons: Roy McMillan, Jr. and wife Eartha, Eric McMillan, Sandy McMillan, and Douglas McMillan and wife Maria; three daughters: Cynthia T. Jones, Angela McMillan, and Lucinda L. Glover and husband Ralph L. Glover, Jr.; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were blessed by her warmth and love.
Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Daisy Martin-Wiley, Martha Martin, David Martin, Hattie Mae Martin-McCoy, Vernon Martin, Emmanuel Martin Jr., Mary Martin, William-el Martin, Deloris Martin-Godette, and Carolyn Martin.
Though she is no longer with us, her memory will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends. Her unwavering faith in God, and love for life will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
