Mary Elaine Melanson, 86
Lynn - Mary Elaine (Donovaro) Melanson, age 86, of Lynn died on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Melanson.
A lifelong resident of Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Donovaro. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.
Mary had worked in an accounts payable department of the Boston Navy Yard for 37 years, she retired in 1994.
She is survived by two sons; Stephen J. Melanson II of Lynn, and Michael J. Melanson and his partner Tiffani Kulpa of Kingston, NH, a granddaughter Autumn Melanson of Kingston, NH a brother Jim Donovaro and his wife Annie of Beverly, a niece Erica Donovaro of New York, as well as several other nieces and nephews
Service Information: Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 2:00PM-5:00PM in the Solimine Funeral Home 426 Broadway, Lynn.
