Mary Ann Mireles

Mary Ann Mireles, 79, a lifelong resident of Rockdale, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023. Mary was born on January 25, 1944, to Francisco and Maurine (Tovar) Mireles in Rockdale. She graduated from Rockdale High School and worked for Renaissance Villa formerly Boswell Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant and medication aide for 40 years. Mary was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rockdale.
Mary loved her family above all else and all of the big family get togethers brought her great joy. She lived spending time with all of her family especially her nieces and nephews, many of whom she helped raise. Mary loved to read and do word search puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and great niece Sara Johnson.
Surviving family includes sisters, Maurine Mendez and husband Amelio of Delray Beach, Florida, Rosie Johnson and husband JB, Becky Green and husband Richard, Paula Sides and husband Robert all of Rockdale; brothers, Frank Mireles and wife Victoria of Santa Clarita, California, Robert Mireles and wife Lydia of Tyler, John Mireles and Basilia of Rockdale and Mike Mireles of Temple; other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
No services are planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
