Mary Needham Moore, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 4, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was a remarkable woman whose spirit was characterized by her humor, warmth, and a touch of fiery determination. Born on April 29, 1940, in Blytheville, Arkansas, she was the 11th of 12 children born to Martin Sanders and Bernice Gamble Needham.
Mary devoted a significant portion of her life to her family before continuing her education, ultimately becoming a registered dental assistant at McLemore Dental Office. Her compassion made a significant impact on both her colleagues and the patients she served.
She had a passion for outdoor photography and delighted in leading eagle tours at Fort Donelson National Park, activities that displayed her deep appreciation for nature and its beauty. She was also an avid fan of Elvis, a testament to her lively and spirited nature.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by ten siblings, all of whom she cherished deeply throughout her life.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Angela Walker (Michael) of Buena Vista, TN; her son, Jay Moore of Jackson, TN; her sister, Lou Hargis of Austin, TX; her beloved grandchildren, Ethan Ross (AliJarratt) and Mary Claire Moore; as well as three great-grandchildren.
