Mary E. Nettles

Mary E. Nettles, also affectionately known as "Bessie", peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on June 19, 2025 at her residence in Moss Point, MS. She was born in Beatrice, AL, on September 9, 1940, the daughter of the late Skinner and Henrietta Stallworth. She married her husband of 49 years David Howard Nettles in 1959 and lived a wonderful union in Moss Point, MS until his death in 2008. She was a very hard-working professional who worked for several companies in Moss Point and Pascagoula, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Skinner and Henrietta Stallworth, her husband, David Howard Nettles, sister, Mildred Stallworth, brothers Mark Stallworth, Willie Lee Stallworth, Sr. and Rodger Stallworth, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Essie Stennis, a special son, Lebaron Williams (LaKeshia McCall), a special great-niece, Lakeyia (LaTerrance) Summers, a special grandson, Tristen Williams, nephews, James Stallworth, Jerry (Valerie) Stallworth, Johnny Stallworth, devoted nieces, Patricia (Sam) Chandler, Denise (Horace) Myers, Jackie Stallworth, Pamela (Norman) Thompson, Tracy Stallworth, Judith Stallworth, and Gaberilla (Roscoe) Brown; special friend, Maude Bivens. Mary also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces and nephews, great-grandnieces, other relatives and friends.
