Mary O'Hara Obituary

Mary was an accomplished primary school teacher whose career spanned 40 years for the New York City Board of Education having served extensive positions at schools in Harlem and later Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
A lifelong resident of the Boulevard Gardens in Woodside, Mary attended St. Sebastian's School, St. Michael's Academy, Hunter College and Fordham University where she received her MBA. She was also a proud and dedicated parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish in Woodside.
During her free time, she enjoyed travelling, trips to Manhattan and summers in the Hamptons. She also volunteered and was an active member for a number of years as a Community Board member.
Mary is survived by her brothers John and his wife Suzanne, James and his wife Karen, niece Amy Griffin and husband Michael and nephew John and wife Cara and great-nephew Joseph Griffin.
