Mary Oltmann Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations - La Grange on Dec. 8, 2025.
Mary Jane (Huebel) Oltmann was called home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2025, at the age of 84, just 5 days shy of her 85th birthday. Born on December 11, 1940, in Roznov, Texas, to the late Robert Fred Huebel and Mathilda (Foyt) Huebel, Mary Jane's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life.
Mary Jane's journey through life was marked by her devotion to her family. She shared a beautiful marriage of 65 years with her late husband, Curtis H. Oltmann, Jr., a unification blessed with love, family, and music. They met at one of his dances and it was the beginning of a wonderful life together. They traveled as he played lead guitar with a variety of bands, sharing many moments of companionship. Rarely were they ever seen apart from each other. Together, they navigated the joys and sorrows of life, including the loss of their infant daughter, Pamela Lynn Oltmann.
She was a loving mother to her son, Craig Edward Oltmann (wife Lisa), and her daughter, Sherry Lynn Pfluger, always supporting their endeavors. Her grandchildren, Hunter Callis, Madison Oltmann, Colt Callis (fiance', Breann), and Kyle Oltmann (wife, Shelbie), and great-grandchildren, Korbyn Oltmann, Laykelyn Callis, Curtis Oltmann III, and Fisher Callis, were the light of her life. Mary Jane's siblings, her late brothers Robert Rudolph Huebel (wife, Verlin) and Clinton Claude Huebel (wife, Dolores), and her late sister Dorothy Mae Huebel Kieke (husband A.J.), along with numerous nieces and nephews, also held a special place in her heart.
A graduate of La Grange High School in 1959, where she was honored as "Most Athletic" her senior year, Mary Jane's spirit of determination and excellence carried through all her endeavors. She served with dedication as a Teacher's Aide at Sacred Heart School and as the KJT State Secretary for many years, touching countless lives with her kindness and wisdom.
She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in their garden, picking vegetables or planting flowers. She was a fixture on the sidelines, watching her grandchildren play sports, and her kitchen was a place of warmth and delight, filled with the aromas of her cooking and baking.
