Ms. Mary Jane (Harrell) Owens, age 79 of Franklin, KY passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Franklin, KY.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 24, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with interment to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Mary was born February 27, 1944 in Simpson County, Kentucky to the late John Bailey “J.B.” Harrell and the late Mary Ann (Edwards) Greer.
She is survived by 3 children, Janna Deweese (Brent), Jill Thacker, and Jayne Leslie England all of Franklin, KY; 13 grandchildren, Amanda Slate, Luke Thacker, Jake Thacker, Jade Thacker, Shelby Deweese, Jordan Newman, Caleb England, Ashlyn Johnson, Jeff England, Matt Thacker, Mackenzie Napier, Kate Norwood, Sara Norwood; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Jane was a retired Jailer’s Deputy of the Simpson County Detention Center and a high-school graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School class of 1962.
