Mary Anthony Partman

Mrs. Mary Partman, was one of nine children, she was born March 11, 1937 to the late Mr. Esther and Beulah Anthony in Franklinton, LA. She attended Washington Parish School.
Mary Partman left Franklinton in 1978 and relocated to Savannah, GA and then moved to New Orleans, LA in 1983 where she became a member of Greater Tulane Baptist Church. After leaving New Orleans in 1992 and relocating back to Franklinton, LA she rejoined Bethel Church of Christ Holiness. Mary departed life on 5 November 2023. She departed peacefully at Saint Tammany Hospital in Covington, LA surrounded by Children, Grand Children, and Sister.
Mary was married to the late E.M. Partman. To their union they had 7 children. Mary was preceded in death by her 2 sons Craigory and Jeffrey Partman.
She leaves to mourn 3 daughters, Keanilias Heyward and Donis Partman of New Orleans, LA and Racheal Partman of Suffolk, VA; 2 sons Kevin Partman Franklinton, LA and Phillip Partman of New Orleans, LA. One sister Jeanette Hart. She has 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Mary was known in Franklinton as Sista, most relatives and friends did not even know her real name because that was all people knew. Mary was a great cook, she made most of the pies and cakes from scratch and other foods that was on the dinner table for the holidays and other family events. The other family members will call her to bake cakes for their birthdays and family events. She would always make sure when children came to visit, she would always make sure they had a full stomach before they went home no matter how she was feeling. She was the backbone of the family.
A visitation will be on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 4:00PM - 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Franklinton.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 3:00PM at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA with Elder Alvin Partman - Pastor Officiating. Interment will be at the Bethel Church Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
