Mary Lopiccolo Ramon, a native New Orleanian passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on February 6, 1942, to the late Jerome "Jimmy" and Rose Lopiccolo. Mary lived a life full of love, service, and quiet strength. She was known by everyone around her for her boundless kindness, selflessness, and incredible determination, especially during her illness. Mary retired from Charity Hospital of New Orleans and worked with Metropolitan Dialysis and Dameron Pearson. She loved staying connected to her community and enjoyed being part of several social clubs, including AARP Chapter 4273 (where she served as treasurer), the Italian American Society, the JPRD Golden Age Senior Club, and the St. Angela Merici Senior Club. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went. Mary is survived by her beloved son, Jerome James Ramon, and his wife Teri; her grandchildren Jeffrey Ramon (Christina) and Christina Ramon; and her great-grandchildren Joseph, John, and Jude, who were her pride and joy. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mary's life with a visitation at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, followed by a Mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and in the spirit of the way Mary lived, her family asks that you do something kind for someone today, a small act of love that would've meant everything to her.
