Mary Carolyn Riddle, 83, died peacefully at home in Crittenden, Kentucky, on Monday, July 7, 2025. Mary was one of five siblings born nearby in Owenton on February 7, 1942, to the late Eva Bowman Green and Estel Green. She raised three boys and four bonus children with her husband Bobby Riddle, who passed away in 1996. Mary loved her family and her dogs. She kept a vegetable garden and enjoyed flower gardening for as long as she was able. Mary also like following UK Wildcats basketball and watching Mountain Men and Doc Martin. In later years, Mary could most often be found with her sister Darlis, as they fished on the banks of the rivers near Monterey in Owen County.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Mark Wainscott, and Buddy (Sarah) Wainscott; her bonus children, Jeff Riddle, Travis Riddle, Melonie Yohan, and Lisa Watts; her sisters, Alma (Ronald) Royse, Darlis (Darrel) Royse, and Dana (Larry) Lewis; her brother, Larry Dale (Jill) Green; her grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Matthew, Brittany, April, D.J., Zachary, and Isaiah; her 21 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her best friend, Linda. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Wainscott; and a brother-in-law, Larry Lewis.

Funeral Services for Mary Riddle will be held at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown, Kentucky, on Friday, July 11, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Service will begin at 12:00 pm with Rev. Glenn Redmon officiating. Burial will follow to the Monterey Cemetery at 2:00 pm, where Pallbearers will be Isaiah Caldwell, Josh Wainscott, Michael Wainscott, D.J. Wainscott, Colton Wainscott, Ashton Morrison, and Mackenzie Morrison.
