Mary M. Roberts

Mary Roberts, age 83, of Nekoosa, WI died Friday, October 28, 2022 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, WI.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Nekoosa United Church of Christ. Rev. Wanda Veldman will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Church on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services.
Mary was born October 23, 1939 in Beloit, WI to Stanley and Mabel (Moody) Woodard. She married Andrew Roberts on August 9, 1958 at the Nekoosa United Church of Christ. In her later years, Mary was employed and part of the morning crew at the McDonalds in Nekoosa.
Mary was an avid Green Bay Packer, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers and lately Chicago Bears fan, she enjoyed watching all of them. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and hunting.
Mary loved "yarning" – "You can never have too much yarn", a favorite quote to her eye rolling family. She provided hats and mittens to Kelleen Acker's 4k kids for the past several years, as well as afghan's for family and baby blankets and gloves to whoever may have needed one. Mary was a lifelong member of the Nekoosa United Church of Christ and belonged to their prayer shawl club, she was also a red hatter.
Mary is survived by her children: Amber Lowell, Joy Bruley, grandchildren: Andrea (Michael) Beadell, Tony "RJ" (Alyssa) Roberts, Issac (Sonja) Hanneman, Matthew (Shaelin) Roberts, Kody (Moriah) Roberts, 12 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law
Vernell Roberts and is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Andrew, Son Randy Roberts, grandson Jack Lowell, sister Rae Boone and brother-in-law Vern Roberts.
