Mary Root Obituary
Mary Jean Root - Age 92, of Linden, passed away December 18, 2025. Mary was born April 28, 1933 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Gibson. Mary had a 35 year career as a legal secretary. She enjoyed showing horses, quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by her sister, Charlene Niles; children, Russ (Jill) Root, Nina Canfield, Mike (Tamara) Root, Sue Corden-Root, Kenny (Jean) Root, Lisa (Steve) Alumbaugh and Jennifer Root; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Root; son, Dexter Root; daughter, Cheryl Root.
