Mary McCoig Scarbrough- age 82 of Knoxville went to be with her loved ones in Heaven on Friday January 21, 2022. Mary was born in Jefferson County. She graduated from Bearden High School and was a member of Erin Presbyterian Church for 64 years where she volunteered tirelessly for years in a variety of ways. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles Scarbrough; her parents, Annie and James McCoig, her brother, Bobby McCoig (Ruth); sister, Caroline Sellers. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Scarbrough Wolf (Todd); son Chuck Scarbrough (Sally); grandchildren, Tommy Wolf (Lisa), Courtney Wolf Price (Jonathan), Abbigail, Lacie, Kayla, Sara, & Randy Scarbrough; great-grandchildren, Jake, Addie, Lillie, James, Max, & Madison; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Mary's family would like to thank the Staff at Autumn Care for the love and care they provided. Family and friends will gather Wednesday at 2:45 PM at the main gate to Highland Memorial Cemetery for a graveside service at 3:00 PM with Reverend John Stuart officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial made to Erin Presbyterian Church, 200 Locket Road, Knoxville, TN 37919 or Susan G Komen Foundation, Attn: donor Service, PO Box 650309, Dallas TX, 75265-0309.
