Mary Helen Seemuth, aged 94, died peacefully at the Solon Nursing Care Center on November, 12, 2025.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Friday, November 21, 2025 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM, at the Church. The Rosary will be recited at 10 AM. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Church.

Mary Helen was born June 3, 1931, the daughter of Charles and Winifred Seemuth. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1949, after which she attended Iowa City Commercial College. Mary was employed by Iowa City Internal Medicine for several years before moving to San Francisco, CA, where she worked for the University of California Medical Center. Mary returned to Iowa City and completed her career there at the Veterans Administration Hospital. After she retired in 1994, Mary was active in various ministries as a member of St. Patrick's Church in Iowa City and served as a longtime volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Mary, affectionately known as "Mimi" by her family and friends, is survived by two nieces and four nephews who loved her wit, charm, independence, and initiative: Mike Seemuth (Marie), Kathy Mossman, Deb Seemuth, Tim Seemuth (Alice), Dave Seemuth (Becky), Dan Seemuth (Joleen), and Mary Anne Milliman (Jamie), Ann Fox (John), Matt Seemuth (Kate), and John Seemuth (Angie). Mary was a great aunt to Josh, Devin, Taylor, Kaily, Spenser, Allie, Morgan, Avery, Madi, Alex and Erica. And she was a great-great aunt to Blake, Sloane, Cyrus, Payton, Declan, Mia ("Mimi"), Marlee, and Cooper.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charles, William and Robert, and her nephew Patrick Seemuth.
