Bloomington native Mary Alice Smock, age 85, died on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at home in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Born July 15th, 1940 in Bloomington, daughter of William Howard and Margaret (Morrison) Howard.
She enjoyed working for SIRA (Southern Indiana Radiology Associates) over 30 years as a Secretary/Administrative Assistant when she retired.
Mary was a member of First Church of the Nazarene for several years, along with parents and other family members. Mary was a lover of the Lord Jesus. She enjoyed studying His word and listening to worship music.
She throughly enjoyed her family, and in 2021 moved to Tennessee to live with her daughter, and to be close to grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary is survived by daughter Angela Collins (Brian) of TN., beloved son Eric Goetcheus (Lydia) of Bloomington, grandson Bobby Shields (Elizabeth) of TN., granddaughters Alise Shields of TN., Jennifer Morrison-Yocum (Marshall) of IN, Stephanie Goetcheus (Dakota) of KY., nine great grandchildren (two more on the way), nephew Joe Von Pilson (Kathy), nieces Teena Oliver (Jerry), Lisa Pattton (Rick), several cousins and wonderful extended family members.
Mary was preceded in death by parents William and Margaret Howard, sister Jane Von Pilson, and son Jeff Goetcheus.
Services will be held at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37 on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 1:00PM, visitation for family and friends from 11:00 - 1:00PM also on Saturday at Allen Funeral Home.
