Lieselotte "Lilo" Smock

Lieselotte "Lilo" Smock, 92, of Zionsville, Indiana passed away on August 4, 2025, at her daughter's home. She was born on February 1, 1933, in Frankenthal, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Marie Weiler (both decreased). She grew up in Germany, loved her time there and visited her friends and family often. She met John Smock in 1953 while he was stationed in Germany in the Army. They married on April 22, 1954. After marrying, they moved to the United States via a ship with the Army. After arriving in New York, they moved to Indianapolis and moved in with John's mother. Lilo was known throughout the Zionsville area as an outstanding cook. Everyone loved her pies and cookies. Whenever they were invited to a cookout or party everyone wanted her to bring a pie, and she was happy to do it. Lilo enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She couldn't wait until the weather was warmer so she could get out in the garden and sit on the porch. She also worked in other gardens. She raised two daughters as a stay-at-home mother and did everything for her two girls and her family. During her illness she was cared for by daughters Lisa and Lynda, and her care giver Tonya Watson. The family is extremely grateful for her during this time. Lilo is survived by her daughters; Lisa Morgan and her husband Ron, and Lynda Smock, and her brother, Horst Weiler (Germany). She is preceded in death by her husband, John Smock, sisters, Inge and Anneliese, and bother Manfred (all in Germany). She will be greatly missed by her great dogs, Lucy, Bella and Ellie, who brought her a lot of happiness. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 11am to 1pm at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 125 West Sycamore Street, Zionsville, IN. Funeral services will begin at 1pm and burial will immediately follow the service at Zionsville Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Lilo may be made to Susan G.
