SZCODRONSKI, Mary Ellen - Age 86, of Linden/Fenton, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Mary's favorite gospel group, Hoosier Harmony. Mary was born March 14, 1924 in Wayne, the daughter of Lorenzo and Bertha Maude (Betz) Roebuck. She was married to Edward F. Szcodronski on September 5, 1942; he preceded her in death on April 14, 1982. Mary was known as "Mrs. Skid" to many throughout her 17 years as a bus driver for Linden Schools. She was a longtime member of Linden Presbyterian Church. Mary always said the best job she ever had was raising her five kids, which also extended to her grandkids. Surviving are: children, Edward R. (Sharon) Szcodronski, Charlene (Edward) Helble, Kevin (Holly) Szcodronski, Bruce (Teri) Szcodronski; daughter-in-law, Karen Szcodronski; grandchildren, Mitchell, Nicholas and Tyler Helble, Joe Szcodronski, Erin (Scott) Farver, Rick and Kimberly Szcodronski, Kay, Carly and Jay Szcodronski; great-grandson, Jacob; brother, Robert Roebuck; sister, Betty Dennis; numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas; brother, Merle; sister, Erma; faithful companion, Robert Kubiak.
