Mary Teodecki Obituary
Beloved wife of the late Francis Stephen Teodecki Jr. Loving mother of Francis (Terri), John, William, Elizabeth Muller, Daniel, and the late Annie (Paul) Schmittling. Proud grandmother of Emily (Nathan) Kohler, Benjamin (Kristy) Schmittling, Maggie Rose (Ian) Stafford, Magdalen Teodecki, Maureen Teodecki, and Stellan Muller; and great-grandmother of Audrey Kohler, Hayden Schmittling, Eliza Kohler, Levi Schmittling, Matilda Stafford, and Eleanor Stafford. Dear sister of Helen Ernst and the late Jack, Daniel, Margaret, and Peter.
She was born May 5th, 1930 in Detroit. On May 10, 1957 she was wed to Frank S Teodecki, Jr. at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Detroit. Mary was a highly devoted wife and mother, and a very religious woman who loved attending services with her family. She deeply enjoyed her children, and in recent years, her grand and great grandchildren. Especially watching them at her home playing with the quaint old dollhouse hand-built by Frank Teodecki, Sr. for his little daughter Kathy. She loved sharing in her family's love and laughter at holiday meals, with kids chatting or singing to grownups, often with 25 at her long table. She also adored her birds at the window feeders, and gifts of wild birdseed from her children; and gardening, particularly when her children brought her out to buy plants and flowers, then arranged them together. She will truly be missed.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 11, from 2 – 8 p.m. (Rosary 7 p.m.) at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (4 blocks east of Woodward), Royal Oak. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 10:30 a.m. (visitation 10:00) at St. Clare of Montefalco, 1401 Whittier Rd., Grosse Pointe Park. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.

Mary was a wonderful person. She not only enjoyed having her family around her but always was a gracious host to their myriad friends of which we were two. She always had a smile for every one of us. Except that one time... and we definitely deserved it (and were soon forgiven). LOL Love you Mary.
