Mary Evelyn Thomas

Mary Evelyn Thomas was born on September 18, 1934, and passed from this life on December 13, 2025.
Mary lived her faith and her love out loud, especially in the way she cared for her family, friends, and church family. Her greatest joy came from reaching others for the Lord and leading them to salvation. She found deep fulfillment in witnessing to others and sharing the unfailing love and grace she herself had found in Jesus Christ.
A devoted servant of her church, Mary enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school, where she touched countless lives through her words, kindness, and example. She cherished her church family.
Outside of church, Mary was a creative spirit who loved expressing herself through arts and crafts. She enjoyed needlepoint and painting, particularly oil painting. She also delighted in visiting local antique shops, always eager to discover unique treasures.
Mary's kindness, generosity of spirit, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her legacy of love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Billy Joe Thomas; her son, Mark Wayne Thomas and wife Jennifer; her daughter, Julie Thomas-Pinkston and husband Ted; grandchildren, Lyndon Thomas and fiancée Cecilia Branche, Lacy Koch and husband Greg, Trevor Pinkston, Jada Pinkston, and Trey Pinkston; great-grandchildren, Tyler Koch and Brandt Koch; her brother, Emory "Dean" Moore; nephew, Alan Moore and wife Jenny; great-niece, Shiloh Moore; and many other cherished family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Alvis "David" Moore.
