Mary Webster Obituary
Mary Scott Webster was a librarian and media specialist in the Durham Public Schools for almost 40 years, serving at Durham High School, Hillside High School, and Brogden Middle School. She was active in numerous professional organizations, including Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a proud graduate of the Class of 1958 of Southern High School in Durham. She was a life-long member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church and actively served in many of its ministries for most of her life.
Mrs. Webster is survived by her sons, Bryant Webster (Jan) and Walter Webster; Grandchildren, Amy Webster, Connor Corrigan-Webster, Ben Webster and Ethan Webster.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 30th at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, Durham, officiated by Rev. Jeff McCarthy. The family will receive friends at 1 pm – 2pm, Friday, January 30th at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cemetery Fund of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.
