Mary Kathleen Widman

Mary Kathleen Widman, A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication.
She built a life long career in retail, beginning in a college bookstore, rising to become manager of a women's fashion clothing store. Her favorite role, however, was selling furs---a position she found both rewarding and deeply enjoyable. Known for her reliability, strong work ethic, and conscientious spirit, she continued to work until the age of 88, when the COVID pandemic brought her long and productive career to a close.
Proud of her Irish roots and the legacy of her immigrant grandparents, she also took deep pride in her family. She was a loving wife of the late Robert B. Widman, the love of her life. Together, they shared a deep Catholic faith that they passed on to their family, not only through words but through action-living out the values of forgiveness, compassion, and devotion. Their pilgrimage to Medjugorje was one of the highlights of their spiritual journey, deepening their shared love for Mary.
She was the proud mother of Robert Michael Widman, Karen Schuchardt (Bill), and Kimberly Fiss (Bob), and a beloved grandmother to Michael (Allie), Robert Nicholas (Maya), Jeff, Joe, Alexandra (Liam), Kelsie (Brock), Galen Barret, and Jacob. Her joy only grew with her great-grandchildren: Alex, Rai, Connor, Jaylon, Royce, Selma, Herschel, Bobby and Auby.
She had a zest for life that could be seen in her love of angels, dancing, her delicious cookies, and a laugh that lit up any room. Many cherished memories were made at the beach, and it feels only right that her final journey takes her once more to the shore she loved.
May God rest her beautiful soul. Until we meet again, all our love.
