After her courageous battle with cancer, Mary B. Williams went home to Jesus on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the age of 71.
Mary was born on January 5, 1954, to Blanche K. Bryant in West Monroe, Louisiana. After graduating from West Monroe High School, she held various jobs throughout her life. However, her primary focus was being a devoted wife and homemaker for her husband David and her two sons, Eric and Cody. Mary was very active in her sons’ sports and school activities, which set the foundation for their success in life. In later years, Mary enjoyed gardening and was a caretaker for Robert (Bobby) Surratt for nearly 20 years until his death in 2024.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche Bryant; brother, Tommy Lee; sister, Jane Lyons; and her niece, Lisa Barnes.
She is survived by her eldest son, Eric Willams and wife, Erika Williams; son, Cody Williams; brother, Bill Bryant; sister, Margaret (Meg) Johns and husband, Hilton Johns; granddaughters, Ava Williams, Lily Williams, and Ava Porter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary’s name to the Humane Society of Monroe, www.humanesocietyofmonroe.org, because of her great love of animals, especially her yorkies who remained part of her life.
