Mary Sue (Bender) Wilson

April 21, 1987 – July 11, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Sue Wilson of Chicago, Illinois on July 11, 2025, at the age of 38. Mary was a devoted wife to John Wilson and a loving mother to their two beloved daughters, Crystal and Laura. She was a deeply compassionate caregiver who dedicated her career to serving others as a home health care nurse. Mary had a natural gift for nurturing-both in her profession and in her personal life.

Born on April 21, 1987, Mary graduated from Purdue University while pregnant-a true testament to her strength, determination, and love for her family. She had a passion for at-home hobbies, especially DIY projects, and found joy in creating, crafting, and making her home a warm and welcoming place. Mary is survived by her mother Carol Sue Bender and daughters, Crystal and Laura; her sister Danica Bender; her brothers Steven and Wayne Bender ,David Leipert ; and her stepsister Angela Slusarczyk. She was preceded in death by her brother, and father David W. Bender, and her sister, Sara Slusarczyk.

A memorial to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Wicker Memorial Park: 8554 Indianapolis Blvd, Highland, IN 46322. All friends and family are invited to attend and share memories of the vibrant, kind-hearted woman Mary was.
