Mary Margaret "Peggy" Wilson

Mary M. Wilson, "Peggy", a resident of Wilson, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 12, 2025. She was 71 years old and was retired from Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System and Louisiana Department of Labor.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Meg Wilson Lee and husband, Gerald and Andrea Wilson Dours and husband, Lucien "Jay". A sister, Sandra Wilson Carruth and brother-in-law, Lynn Newman. 7 grandchildren, Emily Wilson (Kris), Hannah Dours Boatner (Cody), Lucian Dours, Jr. (Sarah), Ashton Wilson Dours, Tyler Lee, Jacob Lee, and Jared Lee. 9 great grandchildren, Hadley, CJ, Mary Ella, Waylon, Keegan, Connor, Kane, Harper, and Baby Luke, due July 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, DC and Elaine Wilson, sister, Debbie Newman, brother-in-law, Willie Carruth, niece Joanna Newman, her best friend, Danny Griffith and her faithful companion, Shadow. Peggy was a graduate of Silliman Institute. She was proud of her Scottish roots and had a deep love of animals, family, friends and her family property. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
