"You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed."
-Psalms 139:16 (NLT)
Jamie Alexander Johnson, a resident of Ethel, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 on what would have been his 50th birthday. He is a former specimen processor with LabCorp, and Med Tech at Our Lady of the Lake, Celgene Corporation and West Feliciana Parish Hospital. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary from 9am until service at 11am. Burial will be in POC Cemetery, Clinton. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tracy-Lynn Hedges Johnson. His parents, Alex and Pam Johnson and Davy Ann "Angel" and Larry Williams. Siblings, James Scott Johnson and wife, Rebecca, Allison Hansen and husband, Chuck, April Showalter, Sean Williams and wife, Justine, Jonathan Williams, Chelsea Williams and Michael and Kristi Carpenter. Numerous nieces and nephews. Jamie is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Johnson and Audrey Hedges. Grandparents, Dr. James A. Johnson, Jr. and Margaret Johnson and his "Nana". Pallbearers will be James Scott Johnson, Cruze Hurlburt, Michael Carpenter, Will Dart, Jason Davis, and Billy Tilly. Jamie loved his family, cared deeply for his friends, and lived his life with laughter and joy. He graduated high school from Silliman Institute in Clinton. He graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in 1999 and furthered his education by graduating from LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology in 2004. He attended Bethany Church in Baker. After working 10 years in the medical field, Jamie became a pro-life missionary to the preborn. He would spend time at the abortion clinic and reach out to the mothers in need to tell them about Jesus' unfailing love, mercy, and grace in their time of need. He enjoyed playing Royal Match and watching Benny Johnson and game play through videos on YouTube in his free time. He also had a knack for working on computers and using his wonderful math brain at solving problems.
He was kind, gentle, and never spoke a bad word toward anyone. He loved his Lord Jesus with all his heart. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
