Mary Margaret Wright, age 82, of Akron went to be with her Lord and Savior and husband Edward of 60 years on December 15, 2025.
Mary was born in Elkins, West Virginia. She married Patrick Edward Wright on June 14, 1965, in Pine Grove, West Virginia. She lived most of her life in Akron, Ohio.
Mary was a homemaker, beloved wife, and caring mother. She was faithful to the Lord. Family and friends enjoyed her company. Most importantly, Mary was a loving wife, companion, and caregiver to her husband Edward.
Preceded in death by her husband Patrick Edward, her parents Woodrow Wilson Vandevender and Mona Isabelle Pingley Vandevender, brother Richard (Linda), and sister Josephine Turner (David).
Mary is survived by her daughter Sharon Wright (David), daughter Barb Hagler (Brian), and her sister Ruth Baker (Shorty). Sister-in-laws Maxine Snodgrass (Joe), Geraldine Titus (Bob), and Eva Lou Dulaney (Earl). Brother-in-laws Jim Wright (Doris), and Tom Wright (Bev).
Thank you for your friendship and kindness to Mary. Your visits, kind words, and conversations were greatly appreciated. Her room was filled with flowers, gestures, gifts, cards, kindness, and love.
We sincerely appreciate the exceptional and compassionate care Summa Hospice and Green Village provided to Mary in her final days.
Mary is at peace and is reunited with Edward in heaven. Together forever.
