Mary Lou Zentmeyer, 81, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 15, 2025 at Bellin Health Hospital. She was born on September 24, 1944 to Norbert and Mildred (Fonder) VerCauteren in Green Bay.
Mary Lou graduated from East High School in 1962, and worked in Business Loans for Associated Bank for many years. On March 9, 1999, she married William Zentmeyer.
Mary Lou enjoyed crafting and going to craft shows, sewing and knitting. She loved flowers and gardening. Mary Lou and Bill spent many years traveling via their RV in Florida and Arizona and never could seem to get out of New Mexico.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving Husband, William; daughter, Dawn Burns; and son, Brent A Rothe. She is further survived by her 4 stepchildren, Edward, Jennifer, Chuck, and Rick;12 grandchildren, Brett, Brooke, Kimberly, Jeffrey, Brittany, Austin, Megan, Madyson, Lea, Sierra, Abby, and Sofia and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Jill Ann Pogrant.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Alyssa and the rest of the nursing staff at Bellin Hospital and the nursing staff at Unity Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
