Died: October 15, 2022 in Joliet, IL
Maryalice "Elsie" Giovengo (nee Pruitt), age 73, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 15, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
Maryalice is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Giovengo; children, Allison, Rebecca (John), Jerry (Sam) and David (Korrin); 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her mother, Vera Pruitt; sister, Pill Hales; and brother Johnny McNiece.
Maryalice was employed at Sunny Hill Nursing Home for 20 years. She enjoyed decorating her yard with flowers; traveling and camping with her husband, grandkids and dog, Jack; sitting on the couch with her cat, Kit-Kat; going to the drag strip when she was younger; and her yellow car which she owned for 19 years. Maryalice loved holidays with her family at her home and spending time with her grandchildren, her favorite was Boo. She was the best grandma anyone could have and would do anything for anyone. Maryalice was loved by everyone and will be missed dearly.
