Marylou Williams 77, departed this life Wednesday August 14, 2024.
She was born to Martha Tabler and Cameron Williams in Akron Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings - Allen Williams, Larry Williams and Linda Wyke.
She is survived by her only child Stacy Williams and brother Erick Williams. Grandsons Jermaine, Jamar (Patty) and John (India). Great grand children Jermaine JR. (Alexis), Jeremiah, Jermarijon, John JR, Jamar Jr., Domonick, Jermier, Taylor, Alana, Moani, Stacy and Jerico.
Great Great granddaughter Moana.
Bonus niece and caregiver of over 20 years Lori Martin. Bonus Son and Daughter also caregivers. Donnie Bishop and Marsha Morale.
Lifelong friend Christina Mays.
Nieces and Nephews Bernard ( BJ, Twyla, Mark, Ricky, Phillip, Rodney, Cameron, Keywana, Karla, Ericka, Erick, Eris, Linda, Damell, Ellick, Elijah, Wyatt and Monty.
A host of friends as well as honorary grandchildren, nieces and nephews that she loved as family.
Marylou volunteered at the American Red Cross on the Disaster Team helping with Hurricane Katrina, The World Trade Center Bombing as well as many other tragedies across the globe.
When she was no longer able to travel, she continued on locally as the cook for the community dinners, feeding those in need.
She was an active member of The Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church, faithfully serving the Lord. Mary Lou had many friends but, were loved as family, if you were hungry she fed you, if you needed somewhere to lay your head she would give you a pillow, if you needed something she had it was yours. This was the woman she was. She has touched so many lives in so many ways and will be forever missed by those that Loved her.
A Special Thank You to Donielle, Joy, Tiffany, Jennifer and the rest of the staff at Crossroads Hospice for their care and compassion at the end of her life.
Visitation will be held August 23rd, Friday, from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church (1398 Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 12:00pm with Pastor Ricky Martin officiating.
Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
