Mason Jerry Smith

Mason Jerry Smith, 75 of Pikeville, KY, departed this life on January 16, 2026 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born March 31, 1950 in Ethel, WV the son of the late Arley Smith and Dixie Wooten Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jane Workman Smith, one son, Michael Smith, one brother, Arley Smith and five sisters, Nevada Crittenden, Joann Fitzpatrick, Virginia Runyon, Loraine Liming, and Carol McCoy.
Mason enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and spending holidays with family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Joyce Spradlin, Whitney (Robert) Martin and Holly Bates; stepdaughter, Dreama Kay Baldwin; sons, Randy Smith and Steven (Marvie) Smith; ten grandchildren, Autumn (Richard), Blake, Destine, Shannon (Peggy), Jackie, Derek, Adam, Amber, Trista (Walker) and Jayhdyn; a host of great grandchildren; and the mother of two of his children, Sandra K. Smith.
The family would like to thank Shannon and Peggy for all the care they gave Mason.
Services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jim Fortune officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Peck Mill, WV.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
