The following was lovingly written
by Mason's family...
With shattered hearts,
we share the passing of Mason Dean Watson,
age 13,
who left this world far too soon on May 27, 2025.
Born on June 7, 2011,
Mason brought an unforgettable light to everyone
fortunate enough to know him.
Though his time here was brief,
his life overflowed with joy, kindness,
and a deep love for both the outdoors and
his faith in God.
A true country boy at heart,
Mason found happiness in
life's simple pleasures-early mornings
with a fishing rod,
muddy boots after a long day in the show ring,
and friendly chats with anyone who crossed his path.
He never met a stranger.
With his bright smile, quick wit,
and boundless curiosity,
Mason turned everyday encounters into friendships
and brought comfort to those around him.
An avid fisherman,
Mason found both peace and adventure in nature.
He loved casting lines with his family,
always hoping for "just one more catch."
His grandparents' pond was his second home,
and he eagerly taught anyone willing
to learn how to bait a hook.
Mason was also a proud member of 4-H
and was excited to begin his journey
in FFA next year.
He showed goats, pigs, and chickens,
caring for each animal with
dedication and pride.
Mason's love for church ran deep,
and he was always disappointed
if the family had to miss a service.
He had a passion for sports-football,
baseball, wrestling-and gave his all,
no matter the game.
His dreams were as big as his heart:
from becoming the next Patrick Mahomes,
to launching his own YouTube
channel Outdoors with Dean,
or following in his dad's footsteps as a welder.
What made Mason truly special was
his unwavering love for others.
He accepted people exactly as they were and
made sure everyone felt included, valued, and loved.
Though his life was far too short,
Mason lived it with an authenticity
and joy that touched everyone he met.
He will be remembered for his boundless energy,
his big heart, and his gift for making others
feel truly seen and cherished.
