Baby Boy Jovonni Dante Outland was born January 21, 2024, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Mya Mims and DeJuan Outland. He passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the age of 18 months.
This was Jovonni’s world; we just lived in it from the moment he woke up until he went to sleep. He was so full of energy and life. Whatever you were eating or drinking, he was too. Jovonni had the most infectious laugh that would brighten any room, and a smile that would just melt your heart. Even though we had him for a short while, his memories will live on forever.
Jovonni leaves to cherish his precious memory, his parents, Mya Mims and DeJuan Outland; grandparents: Crussandra (Victor) Ivy, Jermaine (Krystale) Massalene, DeJuan (Yoshi) Outland, Nikki Reginal; great-grandparents: Shelia (Charles)Hall, Oledean Outland, Willie (Betty) Reginal, and Helen Reginal; uncles: Joey Quincy Jr. Jermaine Massalene Jr., Jayson Massalene, Travis (Alicia) Reginal, Nicholes Reginal, and Yanylin Outland; great-uncles, Clarence Hatchett Jr., Christopher Hatchett, Correan Hatchett; aunts: Kiara Ammons, Jayla Quincy, and Jae Massalene; he also leaves his godmother, Terreonna Robinson.
Jovonni was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mary Ann Hatchett, Vera Wilborn, Juanita Parker, and James Masselene Jr; uncle, Floyd Mims Jr., great-grandfather, Floyd B. Mims Sr.; and cousins, Lakeisha Haris, De’Quan Mims, and Darrius Reginal.
