Mathew Wilson

It is with abundant love and laughter that we remember Mathew William Wilson, a man who embraced life's adventures with a twinkle in his eye. Born in Bristol, PA on September 22, 1992, Mathew was a vibrant soul who made the world a little bit brighter. Known for his quick wit, Mathew had the uncanny ability to make others laugh and his compassionate nature touched the lives of all who knew him. His zest for life was infectious, and he lived each day with an adventurous spirit that was truly inspiring.
Mathew was a loyal son to his parents, Lorraine Carroll and Thomas Wilson (Kelly), a devoted brother to Thomas Jr. (Kristin), and a loving uncle to his niece, Mazikeen. He was adored by his aunts; Peggy Carroll, Therese Cavanagh (Mike), and Mary Simpson (Mark), and his uncles; William (Brenda), Daniel (Kathy), and Martin Carroll (Anita). He will also be missed by his grandmother, Jane Armstrong, numerous cousins and many dear friends. Preceded in death by his Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop whom he adored. He worked in as a distribution specialist for General Motors, but it was his myriad of hobbies that truly defined him. Whether he was composing rap songs inspired by Eminem and Blink 182, boogie boarding at the beach, camping, playing baseball, or taking part in dragon boat races, Mathew lived life to the fullest. His proudest achievement was the daring sky dive he took on his 25th birthday, a testament to his fearless spirit. But it was BMX biking that held a special place in Mathew's heart – a passion that was only rivaled by his love for his family.
In the words of Mark Twain, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started," and Mathew certainly embodied this sentiment. He was always eager to embark on new adventures, his eyes sparkling with mischief and merriment. A viewing for Mathew will be held on Thursday, 20 Jul 2023 at 10:00am to 11:30 am at Lambie Funeral Home, located at 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136. HIs funeral service will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Mathew will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery.
