Matias Marcos Borjon

Matias Marcos Borjon, 73, of Topeka, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

He was born on June 9, 1952, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Matias Barrios and Elsie (McClure) Borjon. He graduated from Topeka High School.
Matias was employed by Goodyear, Moore Refuge, and USD 450, where he worked as a custodian and bus driver. He was a faithful member of The House of the Lord Church. He enjoyed fishing, wearing his KU Jayhawk gear, and cheering on the Hawks. He was always ready to offer his own coaching opinions to anyone who would listen.

Matias was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mable Ruth Durham; and his grandparents, Marcos and Estefana Borjon, and John and Minnie McClure.
He is survived by his daughters, Cinnamon (Timothy) Genoble, Maggie Borjon, and Gabby Borjon; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Stephanie (Michael) Hopkins, Marta Borjon, and Barbara (Lloyd) Murphy; his brother, J. Michael Borjon; as well as many cousins and friends.
A celebration of Matias’s life will be held on March 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at The House of the Lord Church, 2531 S.E. Wittenberg Road, Topeka, Kansas 66605.
