Graveside services for Matthew Eugene Ahrens, 41, will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Rd., Bossier City, 71111. Officiating the service will be Monsignor Price and Greg Walker.

Matthew was born on March 28, 1983, to Lonnie Eugene Ahrens, and Colleen Reach Ahrens in Bossier City, Louisiana, and passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Matthew graduated from Parkway High School in 2002, where he forged connections that would endure throughout his life. Following high school, he pursued higher education at various institutions, including the University of New Orleans, Louisiana State University in Shreveport, and Bossier Parish Community College. His commitment to learning underscored his belief in the importance of personal growth and education.

Throughout his life, Matthew enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and family, valuing the connections that enriched his experiences. His warm personality and genuine spirit had a lasting impact on those who knew him.

Matthew Ahrens' passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend or family member.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie E. Ahrens; brother, Russell A. Ahrens; grandparents, Lionel O. and Norma G. Reach, and Delane and Mary Ahrens. He is survived by his mother, Colleen R. Ahrens; nieces, Emma and Aubrey Bell and sister, Starla Bell and husband, Bryan.
