Matthew was born September 30, 1964 to his late parents, Mattie (Tandy) and William Joseph Borden. He is also preceded in death by his three brothers, Bill, Joe and Charlie Borden.
He worked for Spectrum as a dispatcher.
Survivors include his wife Cathy Janene (McKinney) Borden; four children, Matthew L. Borden Jr., James Borden (Elaine), Steven Borden and Amanda Willoughby (Jeremy); three grandchildren, Martha, Nic and Zeke.
A memorial visitation will be 12:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2024 with a memorial service at 3:00 P.M. at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the family in care of the funeral home for our IADH Families.
