Matthew Carroll Obituary

Matt was born in 1974 in Arlington, VA, the son of Flora Carroll and the late Roger Carroll. He was a graduate of Yorktown High School in Arlington, VA. For the last 20+ years he was self-employed as a Real Estate Investor.
All people die, but not all people live. Matt loved to travel. Having been to all 50 states, countless RV trips, and exploring the world with his family and friends.
Throughout his life he loved to camp, go for country rides, and tell jokes. He always wanted to see if he could make you smile. He had attributes that would put you at ease. Matt was married to the love of his life for 29 years. He was there for his family, always checking in on everyone around him.
He is survived by his wife, Patty whom he married on September 30, 1995, daughter, Elizabeth Carroll, son, Patrick Carroll and sister, Jennifer Nicol (William).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
Lastly, as Matt would always say when speaking with you, "keep fighting the fight and living the dream."
The service will be private, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
